Alexa Rae Cox is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who earned an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at St. Louis College of Health Careers in 2018, from her home town of St. Louis, MO. Before that, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Murray State University in Kentucky, majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Equine Science. Alexa has volunteered abroad in places like Quito, Ecuador working with hippotherapy, and Tanzania, Africa working specifically with OT. Working with children is her passion, and she loves to see the progress, achievements, and milestones reached with her clients through interventions that meet each individual’s needs.
During her free time, she hopes to spend more time in the mountains to learn how to snowboard, taking her Australian Shepherd, Levi, to the dog park, and exploring all Denver has to offer with friends. A fun fact about Alexa, is she was on the Equestrian Team in college, and has learned to speak a little Spanish, French, and Swahili through her education and trips abroad.
